Setting up debug mode for the Magento plugin

Troubleshooting with Debug Mode

If you're experiencing technical issues with the AdPage Magento plugin, we can help resolve them using Debug mode. This feature helps us see exactly what's happening during plugin usage.

Activating Debug Mode

Log in to your Magento admin panel
Go to the AdPage plugin configuration (Stores > Configuration > AdPage > AdPage GTM)
Find the "Debug" option and enable it
Save the configuration

What Happens After Activation?

After enabling Debug mode, the plugin will start logging all activities in a special file:
- Location: var/log/Tagging_GTM.log
- Logging begins from the moment Debug mode is enabled
- We typically need data from 2 days of usage or several orders to analyze the issue

Obtaining the Log File

The log file usually needs to be downloaded by a web administrator.

Steps for the web administrator:

Navigate to the Magento root directory
Go to the var/log folder
Download the Tagging_GTM.log file

Next Steps

Send the log file to support@adpage.io

Important

Turn off Debug mode once you have downloaded the log file
