Creating a Conversion on LinkedIn and finding your Conversion ID
Log in to your LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
Make sure you have selected the correct account name in the top left corner of the page.
Click on ‘Track Conversions’ under ‘Analyze’ in the left menu.
Click on ‘Create Conversion.’
Select ‘Insight Tag Conversion’ if you are working with the LinkedIn Insights Tag 2.0 on the web container.
Select ‘Conversion API’ if you are working with the API Conversion on the server container.
Name the conversion, select the conversion type, set the value, select the attribution window, and choose the attribution model.
Go to the next step and select ‘Tag Manager.’
At the bottom, select ‘Event Specific’ instead of ‘Page Load.’
Copy the Conversion ID that appears.
Save the newly created conversion.
Name the conversion, select the conversion type, set the value, select the attribution window, and choose the attribution model.
Go to the next step and select ‘Google Tag Manager.’
Connect with the appropriate Google account.
Select ‘Set up later.’ Then click on ‘Next step.’
Click on ‘Create.’
You can now find your new conversion in your conversions overview. Open this conversion again.
You can now find the conversion ID within the URL.
