LinkedIn Insights 2.0

To measure the performance of your LinkedIn Ads and track user interactions on your website, you can set up event tags in the Google Tag Manager (GTM) web container. This process involves adding the LinkedIn Insight 2.0 template, creating tags for page view tracking, and configuring conversion tags to capture specific actions like purchases or form submissions. By following these steps ensures accurate tracking and data collection for LinkedIn Insights.

Add Template LinkedIn Insight 2.0

Before you can create tags for LinkedIn Insight, you need to add the appropriate tag template to your GTM workspace. This involves finding and importing the LinkedIn Insight Tag 2.0 template from the GTM tag gallery. Once added, this template enables you to configure tags for event tracking and conversions.

In this demonstration below we will guide how to add a LinkedIn Insight 2.0 template.

Create LinkedIn Insight Tag

The LinkedIn Insight Tag is designed to track page views and capture key data about user interactions on your website. After adding the template, you’ll create this tag by configuring the necessary fields, such as the Partner ID and Event ID, and setting up a trigger to track all page views. This tag ensures that LinkedIn can collect accurate data for analysis.

To create the LinkedIn Insight Tag, you will need your Partner ID. This can be found in your LinkedIn Campaign Manager account. Refer to the documentation on "Where can I find my LinkedIn Partner ID"

Create Conversion Tag

The conversion tag helps you track specific user actions, such as purchases or form submissions, that are valuable to your LinkedIn Ads campaign. This tag requires additional details, such as the Conversion ID, along with the Partner ID and Event ID. By setting a relevant trigger, you can monitor these actions and evaluate the effectiveness of your ads.

For creating the Conversion Tag, you will need a Conversion ID. You can generate this ID by setting up a conversion in your LinkedIn Campaign Manager. Refer to the documentation on “Find your conversion ID”.
