Preview mode on the web and server container

In the example below, you can see how data flows from the Google Tag Manager Server-Side Preview:

The Google Analytics 4 script retrieves data from the client (visitor’s browser) as First-Party data and sends it directly to the server.

In this example, a request is sent to the Facebook Conversion API via your own server.

A request is also sent from your own server to Google Analytics 4.

If you then click on the Tags tab, you can see which tags have been triggered:

The Google Analytics 4 tag was triggered.

The Facebook Conversion API was triggered.

An event was measured and sent to Google Analytics 4.

When you check Google Analytics 4, you can see that the event has been measured there. You can then use this data to analyze your visitors.
