Setting DNS CNAME on Strato

If you do not host your domain name on Strato, you do not need to follow this article.


Strato



  • In your customer service area, go to the Domain manager.

  • Click on "show subdomains" under your domain name to unfold the subdomains. Then click on the desired subdomain to go to the settings. If you haven't yet added a subdomain for Tagging, first click the cog icon under the main domain, and then add the tagging.domainname.com subdomain.




  • Choose DNS management.

  • Next to CNAME-Record, click configure.




  • In the input field under change CNAME entry, enter projects.trytagging.com. Make sure there is a full stop after it as you can see in the image below, this is mandatory according to Strato.




  • Tick the warning and click Make settings.
