Customer Privacy settings in Shopify
In the Customer Privacy settings of Shopify, you can specify which cookie banner you are using, what you include in your Privacy Policy, and other settings related to respecting the privacy of your visitors. In the following steps, we will explain how to indicate that you are using a third-party app as a cookie banner.
Open the Customer Privacy settings in your Shopify.
If you haven’t set up a cookie banner yet, you can do so here. You can choose between Shopify’s default cookie banner or a third-party banner. Indicate your choice by clicking on ‘Set up banner’ and then selecting ‘More actions’ at the top right. Here you can select a custom cookie banner.
Select ‘Use custom cookie banner’ and specify all regions for which you want to process visitor consent.
If you don’t see the ‘More actions’ option and thus the ‘Use custom cookie banner’ option, you will first need to deselect all regions. Do this by clicking ‘Edit,’ deselecting all countries, and saving. After that, you can follow steps 2 and 3 above.
