Setting up the AdPage monitoring tag

De AdPage monitoring tag can be installed to receive extra insights for your AdPage server container.

Download the monitoring tag
Download the monitoring tag from this Github link: https://github.com/AdPageGroup/adpage-monitoring-tag

Import the tag template in Google Tag Manager
Import the downloaded file in the GTM web container under Templates -> Tag Templates > New



In the top right you can click on the 3 dots to import an existing file. Select the downloaded .tpl file.



Save the tag template. After that you can close the Template Editor.



Create a new tag
In your Google Tag Manager web container you may create a new tag. As the tagconfiguration you'll choose the AdPage Monitoring Tag.



Monitoring url is as follows:
https://[DOMEINNAAM]/_tools/monitoring (there is a lower dash before "tools")

For tagging.adpage.io for example it would be:
https://tagging.adpage.io/_tools/monitoring

Set up a trigger
The trigger you're going to set up is for all events. Click under the tag configuration on 'Triggering'. Create a new trigger via the blue plus sign on the top right.



Choose the Custom Event as the trigger type.



The event name you enter is a period and an asterisk. In other words: .*

Also make sure to check 'RegEx Matching'.



Save the trigger and the tag
Give the trigger a clear name, such as Monitoring Trigger. Save the trigger.

Give the tag a clear name, such as AdPage Monitoring Tag. Then save the tag.

Publish your Google Tag Manager web container
