Adding UTM parameters to your Google Ads campaigns

You don’t need to add UTM tags to your destination URLs in Google Ads like you might do in Meta Ads. This can be done automatically using URL Suffixes.

Here’s how you enable UTM parameters for your Google Ads campaigns:

Click on “Campaigns” and select the campaign you want to track.



Click on “Settings” — “Additional settings” (at the bottom) — “Campaign URL options.”

utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign={campaignid}&utm_content={adgroupid}&utmterm={keyword}



Click “Save.”
